News
Wow, what happened to January?!It went by SO quickly!The year 2010 has already brought some big changes our way!Grandma Liz found an apartment and moved out last weekend.She’s getting settled nicely and will enjoy not having to climb stairs anymore and having her own space.She will still be around frequently.
What are we learning?
The preschoolers are still enjoying gymnastics and learning quite a bit there!Not only are they learning the actual gymnastic stuff like tumbling, climbing and jumping, they’re learning school skills like waiting their turn, lining up, listening and following directions.We’ve gone very informal with our preschool program here at HHFCC.Sort of back to the basics and learning through play again.The workbooks were just a bit too school like for our taste.If you like to go ahead and take your child’s home let me know.We’re still working on letters, numbers, colors, shape and handedness (left/right).
Reminders
PLEASE review the illness policy in your handbook.It is on page eight.For the health of everyone, including myself, my family and all the children I CANNOT take sick children.Some are more susceptible to illness than others and something as minor as a simple cold can turn very serious very quickly.Please keep your sick children home!Try to think of it as *if another child had my child’s symptoms, would I want that child around my child?*Also DO NOT give your child fever reducing medicine in the morning before coming to my house because I WILL call you to come get them when it wears off (usually only about 4 hours).By doing that you’ve exposed everyone to whatever is causing your child’s fever.The illness policy as stated in the handbook will be strictly enforced.
