No kids birthdays, but a very special birthday on the 25th!

My first two college classes are almost over and I’m getting ready to start the next two!  I really enjoyed both classes (Intro to Early Childhood Education and Child Growth and Development).  I’m looking forward to the next two.  They are Health, Safety and Nutrition and Childhood Guidance. 

What are we learning?

The kids are still loving Signing Time!  The love singing and signing the alphabet.  This month we’ll be working on signing the letters J, N and S (first letters of the kid’s names).  If you want to know how to sign your child’s name just ask and I’ll print out the ASL manual alphabet spelling for you.  It’s easy and fun! 

 Reminders

Please remember that you are scheduled for specific hours, even though I am open from 6am-5pm.  Regular full time care is normally 10 hours a day.  Although I can usually be flexible in the morning with an earlier drop-off is needed, I can not be flexible with pick up times.  My kids and I have activities after 5pm and I’m usually headed out the door shortly after the last child goes home. 

Can you believe 2008 is almost over?  I will have 2009 handbooks out very soon with updated holidays and any policies that need revising.  You will have two weeks to look them over before any changes go into effect.  Please note that I will be closed Thursday and Friday, January 1st and 2nd.  I’m looking forward to 2009!
